the animal collective cover of this is sooo good.
some are gonna laugh and some are gonna hate.... a real Catchbox 22
Talk Show wasn't too bad. Why don't they just do Talk Show again but make it a little better..
i'm surprised labyrinth didn't make the cut. was my first exposure to bowie outside of the radio. then again, i'm creeping on 40.
I like deerhunter okay, but don't think they ever wrote a song as timeless as 'today"
Glad to see a mention for Adhesive one of my favorite songs from any artist

after some deep contemplation i think your right Mr. Misty. it's time to take my clothing much more seriously.
bummer to read those whirr tweets. still love the shit out of their last record.
a little off subject but does anyone actually think rap music is better now than it was in the mid to late 90's?
hearing the new record and now seeing this photo makes it pretty apparent dude is really gettin his tom petty on
he's back to puff daddy. he should've put out a memo or something.
the first two counting crows records are really good fall albums. the seconds ones even called august and everything after...haha
better than ezra are a bit underrated actually. every song on the second and third album is better than "good"
I came up through the first wave of nu-metal and this album and korn's s/t were where it all started. deftones definitely got better with the next two and then began to lose a bit of the magic. it's easy to write of the genre but it seems some of these bands first albums had some artistic merit. Incubus was almost like a jamiroquai/faith no more hybrid at first and s.c.i.e.n.c.e is still a fun listen. hed pe's first record was brilliant in combining raw punk energy and authentic sounding gangster rap. Even Limp Bizkit's first album was a different and more psychedelic beast than the frat-boy rap-rockers they became.
babies are the ultimate fashion accessory
I really liked this record when it came out. Why haven't I listened to it in like 8 and half years though?
whatever blur dude. talk about simple musicianship, i learned to play that woo hoo song in like two minutes when i was about 13.
I read in an interview once that all the members of bone were heavily influenced by the canadian reggae/hip hop artist known as snow
I can hear a little bit of chili peppers in this but i'm guessing your in early 20's if that's the only influence you pick up. The whole thing sounds like a weird mash up of james brown, danzig, joe walsh for crying out loud, and yes, chili peppers. i think i like it more than 97 percent of the rest of the foo's catalog.
pretty good version. i listened to the original on repeat when I was like 13 and a wannabe playa. is 90's r8b starting to get rediscovered. if so, jodeci needs to go to the front of the line.
I don't dislike these guys but you'd think the bassist was in motorhead. get real.
No se como me siento de su estilo nuevo..
Mickey didn't teach you anything.
i'm glad to see my comment made the staff pick but it still doesn't answer my question.
H ow can you compare eric clapton and eminem? They sound nothing alike.
that was real goofy
lame to live in a world where making fun of a man for his pride in leather jogging pants turns into racism.
Whatever album with "Horse with no name" is probably the best one.
gotta say, listening to trailer trash again makes me feel overwhelmingly nostalgic.
At this point I'm ready for regular bland band names again.
Well, He's got a kid to feed now....
I bought one of these. It's very comfortable.
Here's a random observation. 99% of stereogum's commenters are male.
What a bummer. Chi was an awesome human being aside from his contributions to some great music that trancended what music snobs call "nu metal"
