KSG is incredible and Nasir is mostly very good too (I'm not familiar with Nas' back catalogue except for Illmatic, so I'm not going to compare it or anything - it was a good album by its own merit). I like Ye too but it's definitely not great and I'm not going to go back to it that often so whatever. Yandhi isn't looking very promising so far but TLOP had a messy release too and was/is incredible so who knows
LDA is one of the year's best albums so far, and I was afraid the January release date might make people forget that, so glad they're bringing it back to the conversation with this. Excited to check it out.
Oof I was rooting for this album but this sounds like a mid 00's Weezer track. And this is coming from a big Weezer apologist. But it's not a compliment. Ok.
I've been pretty much out of the loop of new albums on recent weeks and mostly listening to Mac Miller's Swimming on repeat (a great, and now incredibly devastating, album), but I did get to listen to that new Bosse-de-Nage album and it is great!! Room 25 is also fantastic (obv.) and well-deserving of repeat listens. And I didn't see anyone discussing the new Pig Destroyer album! It's really good! what else did I miss?
This week seems stacked, so excited to finally get a new BROCKHAMPTON album. Also looking forward to that new Joyce Manor!
I'm so incredibly fucking happy to see all the love in the comment section for LC!. One of my absolute favorite bands of all time. No one mentioned it, but The Sea Is A Good Place to Think of The Future is their best song (IMO) and probably one of my all time top 5 songs
Fuck. This got me real devestated. Such a young man, so much talent and only starting to hit his stride. I was really looking forward to following his career progreas even further. And he's just barely older than myself. Fuck. RIP kind soul
