There's a great 10 track album hiding in Views, though it's almost as well hidden as Drake's son
And neither will be better then sitting in silence and staring at the wall
In a Brilliant Move, Pusha T Convinces Drake Releasing a 25 Song Album Is a Good Idea
He is going to be rapping about Tifa Lockheart and comparing himself to Sephiroth. Screenshot this comment. (or don't, but I really hope I'm right)
Exactly zero of these albums were mediocre though. Some less good then the rest, sure, but all great to some degree.
Not keeping my hopes up for new Chance this week, but it would be extremely cool if these new GOOD Fridays indeed happens and these albums drop unannounced, so we don't know who's next. Bring back the thrill of the original 2010 GOOD Fridays
You would think that after 3 great, successful and mostly hip-hop albums he'd throw these dumb rockist statements out the window, but apparently nope
My biggest claim to fame so far is bellowing (for lack of a better term) into the mic in my favorite part of my favorite Dillinger Escape Plan song. I'll take what I can get
Despite the awful name Ross From Friends is actually really fucking good.
Cudi Montage is fantastic, but so is Hard Piano. Maybe instead of Games We Play? (Also a great track tho...)
Also, if this was an actual album, you KNOW that Lift Yourself has to be the hidden / bonus track
I'm glad you put Feel the Love in this. I agree that If You Know You Know is the better opener, but Feel the Love is still an all around great song. I would argue that Taylor's "Hurry" (best song on KTSE) and Nas' "Bonjour" should be here somewhere (maybe instead of WTP, easily the weakest link on an othereise fantastic album), but this is an overall great playlist. Kudos.
Easily the prettiest hook out of all of these albums. Beautiful track (yes, I'm choosing to neglect the objectionable lyrics)
It's pronounced Vuh-lay (according to Valee on his AMA), and that isn't him on "All Mine" - it's someone named Ant Clemons.
You live in New York, right? If so than you're already more Jewish than I am. Go easy on these Lox bagels!
They were never my camps! I think it's an American Jews thing. Everything here is almost exclusively Jewish anyway so we never had special camps. Though I admit I used to be very jealous of the kids whose parents had enough money to send them to camps in the US while I was sitting home watching Dragon Ball Z all summer.
They don't carry them. They inflate condoms with attached explosives and fly them over the Gaza border (also do the same with kites). It's pretty crazy to be honest and the South of Israel is burning (literally) for a while now. This is an odd place for this discussion so let's not do that, but this is true information, just so you know
YBB: officialy worse than Hamas' explosive-carrying condoms. (yes. That's a real thing. We live in fascinating times.)
I mean considering that Tel-Aviv (second largest city) has less than half a mil people living in it our definitions of "major cities" probably differ, but yeah there's a few more big ones you've probably never heard about (understandable, they are all pretty far from California). We used to have like... 3 large stations? out of which one was public broadcasting. Now one of them split to two new ones and they barely have enough material to hold a god damn week, and apparently we're going back to three soon. But then again, why am I answering these questions at 2 AM? what have you done to me?
Thinking of it he probably got famous because of that impersonation? I dunno, man. We have like 7 major cities here anyway so there's not a lot to cover. Gotta fill the local news section somehow I guess
I mean, he was a politician before that, but that's how I remember him as a kid. He had his own impersonation on the local SNL rip-off and all. I would link it here but it would make no sense whatsoever
There was an actual pretty famous deputy mayor in Israel named Uzi Cohen. He definitely wasn't very hip hop
This is the most upvotes in a row you're going to get from me, ever
lol at this album is a track longer than all the other Wyoming albums yet it's the second shortest (after Daytona). Three tracks in, this is just super-smooth so far. Doesn't sound like it's been finished at the last minute, this is surprisingly well-mixed, and the music compliments her voice so much
By every conceivable measure
I don't think Kanye "scrapped" anything, and Nas definitely didn't seem too bothered to release that album (2 year since "Nas Album Done"??). I still think it might come out at some point. It's not as if the fact he recorded a new one prevents him from releasing the one he already completed
The anti vaccination stuff is pretty bad too, but I agree that the rest of it is really great
Can't wait for the new Kamasi album. Dropping just in time for my finals, going to spin that one a lot. I'm also seeing him on September and I'm already incredibly hyped Other than that, I was at the local record store earlier this week, and they were playing the new Gang Gang Dance (which I guess they got early) and it sounded pretty great. Going to have to check that one out too
Have you never listened to Late Registration?
You wouldn't even believe the craziness going on in Israel right now regarding where and how it's going to take place. I believe it'll end up being in Tel Aviv though it could be interesting to see what happens if it's in Jerusalem (been living here for the past year, extremely conservative place even besides the politics, not going to go over very well!)
Hungary was the European Avenged Sevenfold song, right? Pretty ballsy choice lol. I liked it. I'm biased about the Israeli song so I'll just say my favorite other than that was the Czech one - definitely the best song and performance combo
mainstream publications and the other site (who had a fucking red "BREAKING NEWS" banner on their frontpage when it dropped)
Ottoman, Arrows and Ladies of Cambridge are all insanely good songs
DOWN 4 SO LONG!! Holy shit this is one of my most unlikely favorite songs, in the sense that I feel like it has been permanently stuck in my brain since the day it came out almost 4 years ago. I always thought it was a complete throwaway remix, didn't realize other people were into it, and especially not that VW will ever perform it live. Wild times!
You have a way with words, I tell you. Maybe I should party a little more
Lovehappy is basically the same beat as Joey Purp's "Morning Sex", which is one of the GOAT hip-hop intro tracks
