As a hardcore old school Coldplay stan, this excites me greatly.
I will say that as difficult as it has been to watch this happen in realtime at least we've been prepared for it by Kanye's extensive history with doing/saying really really stupid bone-headed things. It's helped the realization of this unfortunate nightmare go down easier. I mean imagine if Thom Yorke was the one sidling up to Trump and wearing a MAGA hat... The chills down my spine could freeze warts off.
This is really the only logical response to Kanye at this point.
Do you think the boys will sit their juicy butts down and squeeze out a quick ep to commemorate this moment?
Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa, I understand we're in trying times but lets not start saying crazy things.
Top two worst things Noah Cyrus is responsible for: 1. Voice of Ponyo in the English dub of Ponyo 2. This
Someday I'll weasel my way into that hallowed ten, but for now: Hey that's me!
Just to be clear, despite my searing takedown, I really like LDR, just not this song, no offense to Jack (is that how you're supposed to use commas?)
Lana Del Rey? More like Lame Uh Stay Way
Wish his lyrics for the song with the mandolin didn't seem so much like lyrics from a song with a mandolin.
THIS is a better review of this song. No offense, Tom.
Thundercat should be on all songs from here on out.
I think it's a little unfair to even categorize what we've gotten so far as a "rollout." They haven't necessarily put anything official out yet, it's just fans salivating at instagram comments and indie music blog write ups. Now, if they were in the middle of a "Random Acess Memories" style ROLLOUT then I could see your point a little more clearly. Either way, I'm really excited and can't wait to hear the new stuff. I hope it's fun/weird.
At least they were until they pivoted into obscurity.
Actually, I don't think Ezra has confirmed the current completion percentage of the album since he last stated it was in the upper 90s. There's a really good chance each song is only 98.3% complete, which obviously excludes any of them from being performed live.
I'm having a hard time parsing this because Mumford and Sons is clearly the Coldplay of folk.
I miss the feeling of endless possibilities when the Surgical Summer had just started. What a short lived but exciting time.
Ghost on Ghost came out in 2013. Did you hate it that much, Tom?
this is up there with my absolute favorite Radiohead songs. Definitely one of the all time great closing tracks.
Is this actually the official video for the song? I haven't seen any mention of it by Robin on his instagram and it's not on their official YouTube channel where all their other videos are. Either way, I like it a lot!
^^^ The correct response when asked about Kanye on national tv
*Sparks in any booth not currently occupied by Pusha T
But how many times did they play Peter Pan?
Now I'm torn on whether or not I want to listen to this before seeing the movie!
Based on his last single I was expecting these to be fresh and exciting, but they're like a step backwards.
Regardless of how you feel about the plot or characterization, it's pretty hard to argue that The Last Jedi wasn't the most visually interesting Star Wars movie in a long time.
Ever since Will dissed Carrie and Lowell I've been enraged by any mention of him. Needless to say, my blood is boiling.
These are the times I wish I hadn't stopped learning to play piano. It will be fun to hear someone play this on YouTube or whatever but it'd be so so cool to play this for the first time yourself.
Very underrated album. So cool to see these guys get some attention.
I just realized how close Florence Welch is to Lawrence Welk... I'm not sure of the significance of that but it seems important to acknowledge.
That's why he's so mad, Kanye beat him to the punch every Friday for 5 weeks straight. 5 elpums.
Wait, but, how do I listen to this?
This snake is savvy enough to know that playing the song of the person who was actually asked to perform will be JUST the right deflection for anyone thinking she was attention seeking.
Haha that stunt he pulled at the XXL shoot was so funny. You knew he was just like "Oh man, wait until they get a look at this. I'm about to blow people's minds" I imagine when he was done he was just thinking: "I JUST CHANGED THE GAME"
*uniquely Maybe I should be focusing on basic spelling instead of mid 2000s Coldplay discography discussions.
