Hey I was just thinking about this group the other day! Nice to see them back
Maybe I can channel some of this psychic energy into getting Hospitality to make new music next
Bums me out a little that her crooning side isn't as big a hit, because I honestly like Glasshouse a lot
Either way, bunch of new songs here to make her live shows (remember them?) that much more fun
Oh plot twist. Does this mean a 2 PE week maybe? The Pottery AotW post had teased more about the Haim album, so I just assumed that's what we'd be reading here
Anyway, I'm a Hum newbie but this seems like as good a time as any to start!
They're kinda proving it with a couple of live track recordings they've put out with these new singles, but these guys absolutely rock live. I hope everyone has a chance to go see them before too long
I almost wish I hadn't read that paragraph on the closing track, but I'll exchange the surprise I would've felt for a whole lot of excitement to hear it now
"Very soon there’ll be a lot of things to talk about for sure" is the kind of incredibly vague statement that could mean 100 different things coming from him, but I'm excited no matter what
"Synthfolk" is also only kinda accurate for the song "Mother," (which I was listening to when I commented) the rest is more traditional singer-songwriter with some really expansive production
So many comments I could echo, but I'll just add one to the list I haven't seen mentioned yet and that's Eve Owen. Some beautifully wistful synth-folk on that album. Definitely gonna be on my own year-end list.
A huge Song of the Summer contender on an Album of the Year contender. Cars In Space -> Cameo is one of the best 1-2 punches on an album I've heard in a while

I mean, can you imagine being the legal professional who got paid to write that clause into contractual existence
Feel like Nicole Atkins is always good for a couple memorable tunes per album, so that'll be fun to check out
Next week's a big one though: RBCF, RTJ, Muzz, give me all of it
Sorry I'm late in coming back to this but this is what I was referring to:

Pre-order this album now so you can stream it and soak it in for as long as you can. This is the kind of space-creating stuff that'll pick any day up. Every track is a gem
Good to have Julianna back. Always thought her KEXP rendition of Forever was a masterclass in layering and looping

You could sense she could be a star from the moment she emerges in the Tightrope video. Moves, personality, voice, check-check-check. Glad it's being realized for her (and for more than just her music!)
