Man, this is lovely. Hard to imagine anyone else pulling off the “my new album’s first single is its 13-minute closer” move like this
Hey I was just thinking about this group the other day! Nice to see them back Maybe I can channel some of this psychic energy into getting Hospitality to make new music next
That's almost an hour-and-a-half of new Sufjan holy crap
Someone on White Reaper's IG guessed that their cover is Jimmy Eat World's "Sweetness" and holy crap do I really want it to be that now
Bums me out a little that her crooning side isn't as big a hit, because I honestly like Glasshouse a lot Either way, bunch of new songs here to make her live shows (remember them?) that much more fun
TWO all-access claims!! I can't wait to see what terrible crap you two heroes want to see reviewed
Incredibly uplifting to see this already past $25,000 after just 2 hours, the people recognize what's good and should be kept
See y'all at the launch party

I screencap in full deference to the original artwork
Quite the comment history you're compiling here
Oh plot twist. Does this mean a 2 PE week maybe? The Pottery AotW post had teased more about the Haim album, so I just assumed that's what we'd be reading here Anyway, I'm a Hum newbie but this seems like as good a time as any to start!
Nope, let's try that again https://i.postimg.cc/GtDBWxLv/Untitled.png
They're kinda proving it with a couple of live track recordings they've put out with these new singles, but these guys absolutely rock live. I hope everyone has a chance to go see them before too long
Sure enough! Pushed back another week. I can stop sweating now
Did Jessie Ware's new one get delayed again? I thought it was set for this week after being pushed back a couple weeks
I almost wish I hadn't read that paragraph on the closing track, but I'll exchange the surprise I would've felt for a whole lot of excitement to hear it now
"Very soon there’ll be a lot of things to talk about for sure" is the kind of incredibly vague statement that could mean 100 different things coming from him, but I'm excited no matter what
"Synthfolk" is also only kinda accurate for the song "Mother," (which I was listening to when I commented) the rest is more traditional singer-songwriter with some really expansive production
So many comments I could echo, but I'll just add one to the list I haven't seen mentioned yet and that's Eve Owen. Some beautifully wistful synth-folk on that album. Definitely gonna be on my own year-end list.
Would've loved to see this one on the list too. Ripper of an album
"Cool guitar music with smart lyrics" sounds like exactly the kind of thing I'll remember for at least a year, personally!
Please never break up, Marcel and Stella. We need your powers combined for as long as we can
Was originally set for this week but was pushed to the 19th. So now JW and Phoebe Bridgers drop on the same day
Apparently not? Wonder if they just canned it. Oh well, maybe next LP for the boys
A huge Song of the Summer contender on an Album of the Year contender. Cars In Space -> Cameo is one of the best 1-2 punches on an album I've heard in a while
As SUD marks the end of the old week and the start of a new one, I just wanted to wish you all a very pleasant New RBCF Week

I mean, can you imagine being the legal professional who got paid to write that clause into contractual existence
Feel like Nicole Atkins is always good for a couple memorable tunes per album, so that'll be fun to check out Next week's a big one though: RBCF, RTJ, Muzz, give me all of it
Sorry I'm late in coming back to this but this is what I was referring to: https://www.theguardian.com/music/2016/mar/22/david-bowie-lorde-future-of-music
It's very good and absolutely should not be slept on
Pre-order this album now so you can stream it and soak it in for as long as you can. This is the kind of space-creating stuff that'll pick any day up. Every track is a gem
From being left off the top EPs of 2017 post to a full-length interview for their 2nd LP in 3 years...that's some helium
Good to have Julianna back. Always thought her KEXP rendition of Forever was a masterclass in layering and looping https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2yH48OhzfM
Selfishly want nothing more than for her to realize her Bowie-like potential on this next LP
Not a combo I think I ever expected to hear, but this is pretty good!
You could sense she could be a star from the moment she emerges in the Tightrope video. Moves, personality, voice, check-check-check. Glad it's being realized for her (and for more than just her music!)
