I must be listening to a different song then y’all because this is fucking great. I’m sure it’ll sound even better in context of the album. I think her worst songs are her more radio-friendly tracks (Love Galore, Doves in the Wind) and this feels in the same vein as those songs, but I like it a whole lot more.
1. Norman Fucking Rockwell - Lana Del Rey
2. Green and Grey - Pile
3. All Mirrors - Angel Olsen

7. All My Heroes are Cornballs - JPEGMAFIA
8. Basking in the Glow - Oso Oso
9. Morbid Stuff - PUP
10. MAGDALENE - FKA twigs
Actually. Thinking about this more and I guess I don't really understand the "it's too long" complaint. It's without a doubt the album I've listened to the most since its release. If you love it enough, 2 hours is not THAT much time to spend with one album.
I understand this, but I honestly think the length of it is a pro and not a con. There isn't a single song on there I would cut. It's 2 hours of the most thematically consistent and lyrically mesmerizing music made this decade. Something that really helped me get into it more is putting on one disc at a time, and if I had time to listen to another one after that then i'd continue listening.
I'm sorry to be that person but Have One On Me all the way up at 39 is a travesty.
1. Joanna Newsom - Have One On Me
