That new Yves Tumor album is *it*, my gosh.
About halfway through a first-time watch of The Sopranos and I endorse this take. This song is their "Pine Barrens."
Also, Protect Scarface; The Diary is one of the best hip hop albums ever made.
Enjoying the new Zebra Katz album a good deal - it feels very post-Death Grips/post-JPEG, but also has a weirdo club rap sensibility that reminds me of someone like Le1f (who I miss).
Dope track. One of my favs when I was a five year-old banging Greatest Hits Vol. 1&2 in my mom's Toyota Corolla.
Not sure what the effective difference is between the Ghosts albums and the Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross soundtracks are at this point, but excited to find out.

Not that Nicolas Jaar is "under-rated" per say, but I'm not sure he really gets the props he's due given the quality/quantity of his output. Easily one of the most consistent and creative arists to emerge these last 10 years; jazzed to be getting a new record from him so soon after his last one (the current 2020 record to beat, IMO).
Also chuckled a little at the half-hearted shrug that the phrase "often pretty, slightly adventurous" evoked.
People be calling albums "one of the most fully-realized debuts in recent memory" like 1000 gecs didn't come out less than a year ago!!!
All this "Famous" chatter recently and yet no chatter about how joyous the Swizz Beatz outro on that song is, smh
I'm trying to imagine what would happen if either Sanders or Trump went completely off the grid during the worst national crisis of my lifetime for five days and then appeared on a video livestream with a thumbs up emoji. I don't think I'd feel great about it, personally.
Laughing to myself about Childish Gambino trying to reverse-engineer his own Jai Paul moment, given last week's "leak" and the timestamped branding on this proper version.
They really should cover "Gouge Away" at some point, though. Too good an opportunity to pass up.
1%er Polyphonic Spree-ass.
It's cool to receive empirical proof that celebrities think regular people are fucking goo goo ga ga babies.
Getting a surprising amount of replay value on the new Jay Electronica for how little I need to hear from a very rich guy and an insanely rich guy about their divinely-ordained financial success right now. It legitimately feels like an "event album," which feels less and less common amidst our increasingly diffuse musical landscape, and something it felt increasingly implausible that Jay Electronica was capable of delivering. Also dunno that Jay-Z has rapped on this high a level in a very long time, if ever.
Alas, the burden falls on me to argue pedantically on your behalf.

Petition to not describe all jazz with somewhat discordant instrumentation as "free jazz" (which is its own sub-genre).
A little bummed that this isn't a statement on the level of a Rounds or There Is Love In You (as Kieran's sleek album roll-out convinced me it might be) but it's definitely a balm for this present moment. "Teenage Birdsong" is the current fav.
[extreme Amanda Palmer voice] Coronavirus is going to make bedroom pop great again.
Truly wild that Jay Electronica somehow found the exact right moment to finally release his album.
Live music is #CANCELLED
Maybe so, if a little less so now that Woody Allen movies don’t exist any more. Sorry 2 get Mad Online.
I don’t really appreciate comments about “how good Jews have it” in a time where neo-Nazis march in the streets and swastika banners are displayed at rallies for the first viable Jewish candidate for president.
Between this + Uncut Gems + Bernard Sanders, it's been nice to get some Jewish representation for a change.
Loving the new Pantha du Prince album out today! Kinda occupies a similar space as the Fennesz album from last year, insomuch as it’s electronic music that paradoxically works as a soundtrack for unplugging (also features more organic instrumentation than usual on a Pantha du Prince album, including some wood percussion that he built himself). Recommended for fans of beautiful, shimmering passages.
I would like a nominee who cares about my future and doesn't have noticeable dementia. Seems like a small ask, and yet...
Still listening to Arca's @@@@@ non-stop, though I guess it's not exactly a single-single. Can't wait to see what's in store for her.
This is cool, though I think it's pretty fucked that every candidate not named Bernie Sanders basically admitted that they'd be cool with some convention antics to deny him the nomination last night.
Really enjoying the new Boldy James album, The Price of Tea in China, that came out a couple weeks ago. Produced in full by Alchemist with features from Freddie and Vince, and worth hearing for anyone who enjoys tough talk that doesn't need to be overly loud or wordy to menace.
Also, do other people still like Run the Jewels as much as they did in 2014? Has their whole "deal" aged well?
