This is uncanny AF: "On his song "Brand Name" from the album GO:OD AM, Mac Miller says "I'm hoping not to join the twenty-seven club."" (Wikipedia / Genius.com) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vuCyrtGQhAk
This is devastating news. I just listened to his most recent album today. I know there's no Club 26 but he has good company with musicians like Otis Redding, Nick Drake, Gram Parsons and Hillel Slovak (RHCP). They all died much too soon. Rest in peace.
I mean, "Havana" is not a bad video, but... whatever... We have to accept that "this is america".
Yeah, I saw both of them last November in Nuremberg. Because I came a few minutes too late, I missed some of Devon's intimate performance. And it took me a while to realize that the guy with the lovely bald head was Mr. Welsh: wait, I thought that Majical Cloudz broke up... oh, he's doing it solo!

"Their children woke up / And they couldn't find 'em / They left before the sun came up that day / They just drove off and left it all behind 'em / Leaving it all behind / But where were they going without ever knowing the way?" (Can a sunny song have darker lyrics than "The Way"?)
Has anyone seen the Nico, 1988 yet? It is a great movie! The impersonation of Nico/Christa Päffgen reminded me a lot of Cat Power: the bangs, famous ex-boyfriends, the troubled life and all the erratic performances Chan also used to do when she had anxieties.
I feel like Amanda (having been more in the middleground than in the foreground) was the least upstaging thing or person in the original album cover. I mean, there's still so much going on...
Breaking news: Amanda Shires edges out three famous rappers. Congratulations, it's a great record!
So the automatic embedding by copying the URL only works with YouTube stuff? That was, by the way, "Stripped" by Rammstein.

Their whole discography is underrated. I started to love them with Hobo Rocket from 2013. "Xanman" is wild... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rSFsYvvSXqc
Gosh, another bananophobe, just like Joanna Newsom. 🍌
Unknown Mortal Orchestra: "Everyone Acts Crazy Nowadays" Calvin Harris feat. Dua Lipa: "One Kiss" Parquet Courts: "Wide Awake" Janelle Monáe: "Make Me Feel" Christine and the Queens feat. Dâm-Funk: "Damn, dis-moi" (French version of "Girlfriend") Honorable Mentions: Dirty Projectors: "Break-Thru" Beach House: "Woo"
This charming man... the picture above is pure clickbait!
It's cute, but Diana's pronunciation of those German words is near incomprehensible.
Dear Kurtz, MY WOMAN was also my AOTY in 2016! 😘 And +11 for the "untouchable run" and "both a human and a musician" observation!
And another brother named Bodak Yellow.
Hello, Kulture Kiari Cephus. In a few years, you will get a younger brother named Offshore Oreo Orpheus.
What about expanding the Best Alternative Album category from five to eight nominees?
+ Jaymasi Washington + Jay Vincent
I now want a song where Jay sings and Bey raps.
And I thought that both JAY-Z and Nas buried the hatchet...

Are Robert Pattinson and FKA twigs still a thing?
Marvel = Drake DC = J. Cole (or maybe Meek Mill?)
The general mood of pop music of the last 10 years: "so sad, so sexy".
By the way: I freaking love the original song. "Don't Get Me Wrong" is dann near perfect!
Well, the title sounds surprisingly, um, mature.
Who is that "shitty dude in a shitty band "?
Avenue could be a really beautiful name for a girl!
I don't think they were that surprised given that King Krule hat the third highest score this year behind Kenny and Mount Eerie (Number 14???).
I couldn't have written this erotic Jay & Kanye fan fiction better than Tom.
In comparison to the last album cover artworks (Biophilia, Vulnicura) this one is sooo not tame. It is as bold as the cover arts of Homogenic or Medúlla. It almost seems like the hybrid of these two!
