This is uncanny AF:
"On his song "Brand Name" from the album GO:OD AM, Mac Miller says "I'm hoping not to join the twenty-seven club."" (Wikipedia / Genius.com)

This is devastating news. I just listened to his most recent album today.
I know there's no Club 26 but he has good company with musicians like Otis Redding, Nick Drake, Gram Parsons and Hillel Slovak (RHCP). They all died much too soon. Rest in peace.
Yeah, I saw both of them last November in Nuremberg. Because I came a few minutes too late, I missed some of Devon's intimate performance. And it took me a while to realize that the guy with the lovely bald head was Mr. Welsh: wait, I thought that Majical Cloudz broke up... oh, he's doing it solo!
"Their children woke up / And they couldn't find 'em / They left before the sun came up that day / They just drove off and left it all behind 'em / Leaving it all behind / But where were they going without ever knowing the way?" (Can a sunny song have darker lyrics than "The Way"?)
Has anyone seen the Nico, 1988 yet? It is a great movie! The impersonation of Nico/Christa Päffgen reminded me a lot of Cat Power: the bangs, famous ex-boyfriends, the troubled life and all the erratic performances Chan also used to do when she had anxieties.
I feel like Amanda (having been more in the middleground than in the foreground) was the least upstaging thing or person in the original album cover. I mean, there's still so much going on...
Their whole discography is underrated. I started to love them with Hobo Rocket from 2013. "Xanman" is wild...

In comparison to the last album cover artworks (Biophilia, Vulnicura) this one is sooo not tame. It is as bold as the cover arts of Homogenic or Medúlla. It almost seems like the hybrid of these two!
