Read an article by the AV Club from 2022? Haha! Nice try!
Beck being nominated makes me feels old, as I remember seeing an episode of Pop Up Video in the late 90s that stated when Beck would be eligible to be in the RHOF, and it struck me at the time as being so far in the future.
But how bout we talk about the band Pulp instead?
I guess it's finally time... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qrxMujmXneM
“The Smile album is at the track-listing stage (6227020800 possible song orders).” So the new album has 13 tracks?
Thom Yorke is sounding more like Bob Dylan on this track than I have been used to.
In the past few years of guitars being brought back into pop, have there been any good examples of pop songs with guitar solos? Because I'm a sucker for a well placed guitar solo in the middle (or more like, the latter 3rd) of a catchy pop song.
I just wanna know if there will be any references to PM Dawn on the album.
I disagree. TLOP is also overrated and he never released anything called Yeezy.
So it's not a song about Stephen Tobolowsky's psychic powers? And is the bimbox playing as she's falling in love? I have just made two very obscure references.
Also this year's slate isn't as bad as some others. There's a handful of "Oh right that's a thing that came out this past year" announcements, but a lot less head scratching "Who???" type of inclusions. Though I suppose not everyone knows who Jon Batiste is.
Glass Animals being nominated for Best New Artist is probably more egregious.
Yes, but it was more baffling when Taylor Swift, Lil Nas X, Kanye West, Olivia Rodrigo and H.E.R. were not even part of the announced Album of the Year slate.
It would be really funny if Kanye West won Album of the Year.
He's the guy that laughs at all of Stephen Colbert's jokes.
