she said "you have to separate the wheat from the Shaft." You're damn right.
"behind the iron gates — insights from an institution" This person needs bolt cutters.
I really respect Carly for releasing B-Sides that some fans might think is better than the A-Sides. that's just generous to your audience in a way a lot of pop stars would avoid. happy B-Side day everyone.
I'm glad she's still gonna tour; the Melodrama tour was the only big pop show I've ever seen and she killed it. Hope we hear something before the year is out.
I was expecting this review to mirror the album: released in stages and as long as a book. Appreciate the concision, looking forward to Friday.
Well, I'm gonna open up six credit cards and see if I can get a #1. Nothing to lose, really.
oh man, you guys... I'm excited for this album
this sucks, but it's really funny when celebs end a racist comment with " X❤️"
The ripples of Schneider's influence will outlive all of us. RIP.
Listen to The Woods, StupidAsshole.
have a great weekend everyone https://twitter.com/actualawry/status/1252653050495467523
The 20 second or so bridge after the first chorus in “Heavy Balloon” is some of the most beautiful music I’ve ever heard.
Damn now i want to hear Beyoncé do “Ladies” into “Heavy Balloon” that’d be so amazing haha
I'm kinda over this story, still hope Taylor re-records her catalog just cause it could be a cool experiment. Unrelatedly, when Fiona spoke-sang on Shameika "I wasn't afraid of the bullies, And that just made the bullies worse," I feel like she took all of Taylor's vocal tics and elevated them to their highest form.
This is really helping me unwind from a week of almost exclusively listening to "Fetch the Bolt Cutters".
Seinfeld, the tv show? classic, all-time great. Jerry Seinfeld, the comedian? overrated, mediocre at best.
so Pete Buttigieg was created in a lab by Brendan Urie in order to run for president to the theme of "High Hopes," extending the song's chart dominance.
I wonder what will be the number #2 album of this decade.
My main takeaway is she’s the best at music.
"how I can contribute positively via home detention" lol shut the fuck up
The web of awfulness here is huge, but my first thought is of all the artists just starting out, who maybe felt they were near a break through, who now have no industry to break into. Careers won't get off the ground, and so much music won't get made because there's no market for it. fucking terrible.
a radiohead album of silence would slap
I'm really looking forward to reading about 3-5 new Fiona Apple songs here in two weeks.
Not much is better than surprise Aphex Twin. RIP to his father, that's terrible.
Just gonna put this here because it's awesome. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oYAR8RigqDA
I'm still pretty excited for this. Just a great band.
One thing I learned during quarantine is American Dad is still in production. The bad news is unending.
Very good of Taylor to do this. I hope she keeps record stores in mind when choosing lead singles for future albums and picks the best song as opposed to the worst.
I don't anything other than a surprise Fiona Apple album release could more encourage so many people to self-isolate for a few weeks.
"Threnody To The Victims Of Hiroshima" is one of the most striking and unsettling pieces of music I've ever heard. RIP to a genius.
Seems like every day some celebrity is doing something that further highlights what an empty gesture the "Imagine" vid was.
