There was the time Win threw an actual temper tantrum and ended their performance on Jonathan Ross by smashing his mandolin into the camera and storming off. Apparently because they had wanted to go to a friends wedding but had to stay in the green room. Very strange indeed. It’s around the 3:25 minute mark in this video: https://youtu.be/cTsPTfusbBs
Atlanta always felt a little too try hard for me. I really enjoy some episodes but then there’s episodes of moments where I just see the writers too much. It felt too often like they were trying so hard to make something interesting or unexpected or different. When it worked it was great by a lot of the time is was just distracting.
Whoa, we better not open this pandora’s box, guys. There’s no telling how consequential the revelations will be.
And how exactly did you become SO cool?
I’ve loved all of his other specials and I loved this one. His songwriting has grown exponentially.
I agree completely. I was genuinely interested to see where they would go after Everyday Life. There were moments on that album that reeked of “New Coldplay“ but overall it felt like the best/most interesting thing they had done since Viva. This just seems to be them reverting back to that eye-roll-inducing upbeat pop drivel they started getting into on Mylo. I mean how many times can they do slight variations on the same outfits they’ve been wearing for the last 13 years?
One step forward, three steps back.
Okay, I can hear the similarity in the American Pharaoh song but this one makes almost no sense to me other than general subject matter.
Alien Radio was a song they were working on for Mylo Xyloto. Wonder if they’re just using the name or actually bringing over any music they worked on back then.
Still can't get down with his voice.
"NAH, I don't want to listen to anything Kanye puts out... Actually, NAH, let me give it a chance, could be a banger... NAH, nevermind, not worth the inevitable disappointment" VERY META
All the clips and snippets of the new album that Robin has been sharing on his Instagram have sounded incredible. So exciting to hear this song in full but it’s making it harder to keep waiting for this album.
I think we’re all a little more “skeeved” by the inclusion of a chainsmokers song. Christians aren’t allowed to smoke!
“Isn’t it crazy how crazy I am? I bet you think it’s crazy. I don’t. But that’s cause I’m crazy.”
"I just decided to kind of take this as an opportunity to show you guys how the songs sounded when I first wrote them." What a carefully pointed thing to say...
