Beautifully said. And I really admire her for touching on how her music has benefited from its hip-hop influences in specific ways. Black people are responsible for building so much of what makes this country and society great and to see so many under attack is an attack on all of us.

“I Love Rock & Roll” is horrible. Joan Jett is horrible. That she’s in the HOF while Steppenwolf, Grand Funk, and BOC are not is a travesty.

“We Got the Beat” is horrible. It sounds like a Doodlebops reject. The GoGos couldn’t write a song to save their lives.
