Harvey Mason Sr. is one of the best drummers of all time.
Man, I had some top-notch boner jokes too. You owe me.
Featuring Weyes Blood on your track is like a cheat code. She's going to elevate the material no matter what.
Saw Tame Impala kick ass at Luna. I've been inside Teatro Colón, but never saw a show there.
Ohms? Hmm, I don't know. I'm resistant.
Andy Shauf?! Put this man on money now!
Did you just apologize to yourself?
Spanish rock bands are having an absolute unit of a year: Los Estanques, Mujeres and Futuro Terror are all set to make my top 5 this year. In the case of Los Estanques, that's 2 years in a row.
Don't do drugs unless you want to hang out with all your favorite cartoon characters! I wore that tape out as a kid.
Great album. Our Deal is the track I go back to the most often these days. This and King of the Beach made for such a fun summer.
Forget Judy. I wanna know what's up with Rose.
That is almost verbatim how I described this album to my father when it came out.
Same. He really needs to get over Judy, though.
This is the 3rd year in a row that someone in the Polaris Prize article turned me on to some weirdo French Canadian band. This is great. Thanks, bud!
Yeah, I was planning a trip around that.
Top 5 Krull scenes: 5. Giant Spider 4. Super fast Clydesdales 3. Cyclops sacrificing himself 2. Finding the Glaive in the lava 1. Fighting the Beast
I'm assuming the blue shirt with the fridge on it is a reference to Washing Machine, only with an appliance that I actually use.
That Sonic Youth Stereogum shirt will be mine.
The Ocean was the first "leaked" song I ever found online. Also, even the cornier songs on this album (their weakest LP IMO) are straight rippers live.
But is it earth-like shattering? Check your Sol-3 privilege.
Leave her alone, blochead. She's just a glamorous person. You wouldn't understand.
Shades of "Long Knives Drawn"-era Rainer Maria.

The B-sides from this era are incredible too.
I had head his previous albums in passing when this came out but this is the one that started my obsession. It's hard to pick a favorite Elliott Smith album but this one definitely holds a special place for me. Pop Rock perfection.
Whatever keeps his mind off of making movies.
From the ashes of society rises Zoomcore.
'I Got Next' is an incredible album that I still listen to all the time. I'd call it flawless but he tries his hand at rock on one track and I've had resting bitch face ever since the first time I heard it.
If I understand the narrative correctly, Jimmy Fallon is Ed Sullivan in this scenario.
True but Concrete and Glass has some great tracks on it.
There's a lot of S/T era Elliott Smith influence on Anak Ko. And it doesn't surprise me that an album that was so excellent start to finish has such high quality leftovers. Jay Som is better than your favorite artist.
