I had head his previous albums in passing when this came out but this is the one that started my obsession. It's hard to pick a favorite Elliott Smith album but this one definitely holds a special place for me. Pop Rock perfection.

There's a lot of S/T era Elliott Smith influence on Anak Ko. And it doesn't surprise me that an album that was so excellent start to finish has such high quality leftovers. Jay Som is better than your favorite artist.
