ok actually i even feel like further praising the writing on this one, not just the content but the form as well; it was a great read, thank you mr cohen
this piece really managed to encapsulate this particular late 00s/ early 10s microcosmos. for what it's worth, htdw did put me, and i imagine a few others, much more in tune with rnb, and certainly set the stage for me to open my ears to house of balloons a few months later
and yes cold nites is a banger
seriously so many moments; when on another ocean opens up like you mentioned; the transition from verse to chorus in fool's errand: the loud-quiet-loud in the closing track; third of may coming busting right out of the gates; and robin's voice sounding better and more expressive than ever. god damn what a record
i see a lot of people taking a dump on crack-up, but let me tell you folks, crack-up is up there in terms of sheer beauty with have one on me. i won't get into a physical altercation over it, but i'll at least punch the table angrily
if you're trying to support a specific artist, subscribing to a major streaming platform and playing their songs is about the biggest waste of money you can do
people who go to one of these, and the people they live with would need to isolate themselves after the fact. with proper contact tracing and/or testing maybe one week is enough, since if someone was sick and contagious it seems very unlikely that after 7 days noone shows any symptons (I think 40 people of infected people are assymptomatic? absolutely do not quote me on this). otherwise if contact tracing doesn't work you can get yourself tested, but no clue on how long you have to wait to test positive after you've been infected.
well some restrictions have been lifted and extra measures are in place for things such as travelling/restaurants. hopefully as time goes on, and depending on the situation of your location, then similar things can be implemented for concerts. if not well, we might just have to find different ways to entertain ourselves eh
