Also was this originally a camping festival cause it definitely won’t be at MPP or I kind of hope it is cause that’d probably be a hilarious shot show too. If this does happen it definitely will be widdled down, which was gonna happen from most people dropping out anyway. MPP is a great venue for a normal show though.
As a local TAKE THAT NEW YORK YOU ACT LIKE YOU'RE SO MUCH BETTER THAN US AND THERES NOTHING CULTURALLY RELEVANT ABOUT MARYLAND BUT LOOOOOK WHOS GETTING YOUR HIGH PROFILE FAILED FESTIVAL BUDDY
He is a young artist with some talent so I understand the the unlimited potential, cause basically every 16 year old has unlimited potential in some respect, but I am not seeing how the headline matches up with the article in this case. He's got start power and is making music that is hot, but his content seems mostly more of the same and a simplified and unproductively reduced lens on his own personal experiences or the experiences he might be appropriating to posture himself. This along with shitty takes combined with generic and cliched streets boasts over a flow and beats that again sound really stand out to me from his peers and predecessors. I know I am reading into the headline too much, but I just do not see the point of saying anyone is all upside, as an artist or as a persona. Honestly to me it feels less like a compliment because it feels like you're making a decision to only ever process a very narrow scope of he his as well as the art he produces. Nothing is real without downside.
I take music suggestions from my students because I’m the coooool teacher, but actually because I think it’s funny to be young enough to know what they’re talking about but still old enough to trash their taste that way they Get more defensive about it, but any way this girl told me to listen to cupcakke last year and I listened to a lot of her cause she has some pretty well hidden substance in there, but my suggestion to here was to check out Lizzo. Basically what I’m saying is I’m part of YOUR problem William Sockner, granted this was prior to her pop breakthrough, but I don’t regret it she became a lizzo fan and I think that’s she’s a good artist for young women to dig into.
The sexism is awful but the logic behind these technicals is hilariously asinine. Could Joss just say actually this guys gonna plays drums while i sing?
First of all you don't have to be able to sing or act to be in a Baz Luhrmann film, second of all the real question is who is John Leguizamo gonna steal this show playing?
I mean albums have always been kinda a conceptual thing anyway.
Honestly I think streaming has completely changed how people experience an "album" and even though I love when artists value the art of structuring an album as more than just a collection of songs, I feel like that term means something different to each artists anyway.
I like Through The Wire a lot at this point by I thought The sample flip was kinda dumb at first too honestly. I see you guys praising the originality of the idea, but chipmunk soul samples were already kinda a staple of hip hop hits at this point weren't they? Maybe I'm wrong, I just don't remember thinking it was something new at the time.
I'm not a fan of most of these rappers, but I can I recognize this is a good lineup for what it is. Bothers me that they have G Eazy headlining a festival like this though, wish he'd stick to Iheartradio.
I also think it wasn’t a strong move to reduce people who discriminate against homosexuals to one specific stereotype, but also I don’t believe you should equate being conservative to hating gay people.
I know it’s easy to get sick of Shake it Off, but I always felt it was a superior song to blank space, but I’m not much of a Taylor fan and I know I’m in the minority with that opinion.
