So many people I admire are involved in this video. Great way to start my 2018.
What does being a girl have to do with this?
It's so amazing see her here. I remember following her on instagram 2/3 years ago and she's still so genuine and so herself. She reminds me of all the bronx girls I went to school with and I love that. I hope 2018 is just as good to her
I think it's a bit difference since, if this were true, it's her choice to report her abuser. She wasn't a bystander like the examples you gave.
I think Swift. deserves to be included for that testimony, but the cover spot should've gone to Tarana Burke who's been advocating with #MeToo for years. Please, please look her up!
Despite its flaws, the best thing to come out of this album was black men f i n a l l y talking about mental health in a real way.
War & Leisure has a pretty decent chance at being my AOTY if he keeps this up
Rappers aren't really trained performers, maybe? So they don't have the stamina to do a whole show on their live vocals alone? Just a guess, I don't understand it either...
I can't fucking wait to get my locs
Question for the room: how many good big budget pop videos have been released this year?
Into the production, but I think she might be over-singing this a bit
Lorde is going to make this a M O M E N T. I'm ready.
Rihanna was literally in the movie, why didn't they have her record a song for it as well?
it's impossible to go out in Washington Heights without hearing Cardi and I'm here for THAT
Even when you think you've given her enough respect, give her more.
*edit: not at the grammy's, but on the On The Run tour
I don't think I'm delusional. Similar to how Taylor Swift partnered with AT&T, I think Jay partnered with Sprint because of each of the major carriers, that one fit his target demo the most. I don't think Sprint is thinking about black owned business at all, but if I were Jay and this was how I planned to release my album, I would choose a carrier where my work would resonate the most. When I mentioned the subscription, I was talking about the individual consumer, not Sprint as a corporation. Again, I don't think this release, nor the 2013 one was perfect, but ultimately I think his intentions were good and I don't think he's selling out.
Of each of the major cellphone carriers (Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile) black people in inner cities predominantly use Sprint. And supporting a black business on a month to month basis through a subscription is more beneficial than a one time purchase of his album. This is bigger than just Jay's album or just Jay himself. The majority of artists that offer exclusives through Tidal are black. It's hardly a perfect system, but none of the streaming services are.
If you've been supporting black owned business, then you can listen to the album. And that's that on that.
Am I an old head for seriously liking this?
I saw him when he opened for Beyonce last year and I can confirm that he occasionally walks to and fro his dj booth, yells catch phrases, and brings out no less than 6 featured artists.
Vince has the best production in hip hop right now don't @ me
