My sister bought tickets for us to go see Joe Hisaishi play Studio Ghibli scores at Radio City the same week I'm seeing Daughters and WOD. Late January's gonna be fucking wild.
I think about that Greil Marcus quote about Rod Stewart: "If it was necessary to become a great artist in order to get the money to spend and the stars to fuck, well, Rod was willing."
That's what I call "nice" shows where they try to have what Chris called "good vibes rather than good jokes" that personally don't do anything for me (See also: Schitt's Creek). And for such a positive, feel-good show it's even weirder that you'll swear at me and get indignant for not really liking it.

I don't know why the trend in sitcoms now is "gentrified Full House", but everything I read about this show makes me wanna watch it less and less.
Wilco at their most weird and complex and beautiful and emotional, finding a perfect balance between all those moods that other bands would kill to achieve. An album I can go back to over and over and find new sounds and nuances.

Just going off the songs dropped, I could tell it was gonna be one of my favorite albums of the year and completely leave me a sobbing wreck. This genuinely feels like something I've never heard before and tomorrow can't come soon enough.
