Linds is just on a whole other level from her peers. Both new.ones have been very crafty and not obvious at all yet still manage to stick in your head.
Red Sox, of course, are awful, but happy to see Kiké get the shine. Dodgers really regretting not offering him the bag right about now when they look at their anemic bench.
Ah yes, the album influenced by such country legends as Bill Withers, Daft Punk, Sade, Eagles, and Weezer. This boss lady from Universal hiding their financial interest in awards behind sexism and an unrelated racial incident is a pretty good sign of the times.
So is this pretty much what his "storytelling" is all about? Name dropping and more riding Kurt's legacy? Anything that originates out of his own mind?
Beck is always great live. Only problem is his setlist is mostly predictable especially on these shorter opening sets or festival gigs. Rarely do you get a very deep cut or surprising choice.
OK this Eve 6 clown has overstayed his 15 minutes of ironic Twitter fame. Time to move on the next semi funny washed up 90's alt rock star with 3 hit songs.
Hyden getting it wrong here (what else is new). The question wasn't are the individual members of RCHP cool, but is their music underrated. They have often been a critic's joke, but there does seem to be some brewing reappraisal/appreciation of them these days. The early punky funky stuff is all over the map and still pretty wild sounding. Stadium Arcadium is holding up as a pop/rock classic. Thom Yorke has cited RCHP as an influence; you can hear a bit of it in the riff of "Reckoner". This tour with younger generation acts will only help to cement them in their place in the cannon.
Yes, there are only these 2 groups: 1) those that believe in science and care about protecting the lives of other members of society and 2) the dumb fucks who trust nothing but viral Facebook posts and only care about themselves
Bingo. Where is the public health criteria for no longer wearing masks when vaxxed? Remember all those targets and color tiers for reopening from lockdown? Where are the similar goals for ending masks?
This is the kind of twee collaboration I would have absolutely loved years ago but today feels indulgent, inconsequential, oblivious. We need Laetitia back at her Marxist best and Jarvis going after the c*nts still ruling the world.
I'm all for data, but this only demonstrates correlation, not causation. (The very 3rd word of the article is "suspects".) And the source is CDC, which does not release biological mechanism science, just summary data. There are many schools in more populous cities that just do not have anything close to these TN numbers.
The trajectory has been steadily going down, no? It is not scientifically known that children are equal vectors. But regardless, is it ethical to only think of children as "vectors" so that any measure against them is justified? How young a child are we willing to subject to mask wearing?
I guess we'll learn over the next several years if "stupid" applies to refusing to comply with excessive preventive measures, or the potential long lasting harm of these policies on development of children who are at very low risk.
Pretty little tunes as usual from Dean. It's been nice to see him age gracefully into his long-time world-weary character. I think we can fully claim him as an L.A. guy after living in the Hills for a while now and giving our shitty ex-mayor the finger with his upcoming LP title.
This opens up a whole new potential revenue stream for them-- a Smashmouth franchise. Multiple bands featuring hired lookalike players. Like the Blue Man Group. Shows running simultaneously in different cities/casinos. Let's make this happen.
They don't miss. I sense this traditional song mode comes very easily to them. Not a criticism; they are just that talented. It's been cool to see how much free reign 4AD is giving them to release songs as quickly as they want to, in many different styles. Other labels might have tried to slow them down and focus them into a single signature sound. The strategy seems to be paying off as the venues on tour are growing including confidently anticipating 2 nights in LA in the decent sized Wiltern.
