Want to hear Young Thug. Have absolutely zero respect for Chris Brown. What do I do?
We were lucky enough to see this when we were out in North Carolina for my cousin's wedding. Sylvan Esso are great as a duo, but it was so cool to hear that full band sound with their songs. I left really impressed and I'm really pumped to check this out.
Holy fuck this is bad. Does he include the drums from "In the air tonight" before the chorus?
Listened to this today and it wasn't overly exciting. Rockstar is a highlight, and Blame it on Baby could've been such a cool track if they kept the instrumental going for more than 30 seconds.
I will never get sick of Matt's voice. Man this is so good.
I caught Wilco at the Sylvee in Madison. They were a phenomenal last show!
Also gotta love the Jeff Rosenstock poster behind him... I think I'm going to spend the rest of my day shuffling between John Prine, PUP and Jeff Rosenstock.
Morbid Stuff was such a great album. One of the best albums of 2019 for sure.
Lamp Lit Prose was really underrated IMO and everything that's been released since has been great too. Super excited for the full EP (...or I guess the other 2 songs)
Bought pre-sale tickets for this. Undercard is pretty great, but I can't say I'm overly excited for Khalid.
I just saw them in Madison last night and it was unbelievable. Seconded on your recommendation!
this is so cool. the national are my favorite band and lemonworld is one of my all time favorites. the explosion of the chorus is wild! super excited to hear the rest of the covers
What a track list. The anticipation is killing me to hear "The Biggest Tits in History"
This poster design is disgusting.
Julian's "YEAHS" at the end get me so friggin hyped.
I'm getting more optimistic that this might be the best Strokes album that we've gotten in awhile. Really diggin' this.
I'm excited to hear the album, but this isn't doing it for me.
What a nightmare of a lineup on Saturday... I would definitely see Lizzo, but she shouldn't be headlining. The undercard is pretty awful though... French Montana being third, and Third Eye Blind leading off the second line of the poster is horrible. Sunday though I'd be all over. Kendrick, Bon Iver and Brockhampton all make it worth it to me.
Action Bronson seems lower than he should be. Who the hell is Saweetie or Rod Wave...?
I'll Come Too is probably my favorite track off of Assume Form. It's such a beautiful, happy song.
This is How I Disappear and the Sharpest Lives are two songs that I think are underrated, but I'm not sure if they'd make my top 10. I agree with others that The Ghost of You needs to be on here. Such a great track that I love to belt out in the car.
The Life of Pablo is fantastic IMO... a little disjointed but is still one of my favorite albums to revisit.
I'm not in a good spot to listen to this, but I'm excited to hear the cover by Miya Folick. She's one of my favorite new artists. Also, John Green is great. His Crash Course series on Youtube is phenomenal.
I've been to the Eaux Claires festival every year they've had it, and I've absolutely loved it every year. The last year was still a blast, but many of the attendees expected for bigger names to be announced with all of the talk of the "secret lineup" that was coming out. By the time the festival rolled around, the entire lineup had basically leaked. It was still great being there, and seeing The National, Swamp Dogg, Ho9909, & Big Red Machine, but a lot of other aspects fell flat. I love Eau Claire though and I will use any excuse I can to go back!
The introduction to Car Wash always gets me so hyped. Such a jam.
IGOR STILL SLAPS. I bought one of the special edition vinyls right away when this was announced and haven't heard any updates on it yet, but the same thing happened with Flower Boy. It'll be a great day when it shows up on my front door randomly. I think IGOR might be my AOTY so far.
I'm still enjoying the album. It's hard for me to listen through it in full though just due to the length. When I hit the back half of the album I start to lose interest in tracks. Definitely not my AOTY but probably in my top 10.
Pretty disappointed there are no listening sessions in Wisconsin.
"If you ain't got no giddy up then giddy out my way" is the lyric of the year.
This is not good. Listen to Old Town Road, and lets keep this streak alive. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w2Ov5jzm3j8
I WAS IN THE RIGHT PLACE... BUT IT MUSTA BEEN THE WRONG TIME
Cattitude might be the worst song of 2019.
Probably won't be listening to this again. Unless it becomes a song of the summer, and I can't avoid it. This is back to normal for Katy Perry, but not as catchy as some of her earlier hits.
I don't mind Goblin personally. She is a great song off of that album. In comparison to the others though, Goblin is definitely at the bottom of the list.
I don't think this album is as good as Flower Boy, but songs like Earfquake, Igor's Theme, Gone, Gone | Thank You, and Are We Still Friends? show a new type of Tyler that I really enjoy. This album probably comes in at #2 for me out of his releases. I think I'll continue to like this album more and more as I continue to listen to it, but it's definitely not as immediately likeable as his previous releases.
I don't think I'll ever listen to an entire DJ Khaled album, but I'll always check out a few of the artists I enjoy on his albums. I went straight to the SZA track and it wasn't too bad. The sample of Ms. Jackson is cool, and anything SZA touches is normally at least halfway decent. Gonna hold off from listening to anything else though until I continue to listen to Igor and I am Easy to Find another 4-5 times.
Love this album so far. I do get frustrated occasionally with the vocal mixing on some Tyler tracks, but lots of memorable tracks on this one. Slightly lower than Flower Boy for me, but I agree with other comments that this one will probably be a grower.
