TNOCS is the most beautiful, organic, genuine phenomenon. I’d kill to read a well-researched book on Internet comment sections/commenting platforms, but only if it has an incredibly affectionate chapter in TNOCS. It’s just *pure*
Where in LA? I have zero idea. I’m just flying in with a backpack and luxuriating in not having any domestic responsibilities for the entire weekend.
And no, we do have school Monday morning. My hare-brained plan is this: Spirit Airlines red eye lands at 6:20 AM, school starts at 8:00. See you there, kiddos!
Flying into SD, spending a day there, then train up to LA for a friends house to watch the Super bowl. Red eye back to chicago cause I’m a sucker for punishment?
Quick trip but the flights were preposterously cheap. Like, bus trip to Milwaukee cheap.
Wod was so fucking sick - the people were literally whoopin and hootin and hollerin throughout. The IDLHA tracks are already getting better and the tracks from their previous albums continue to get better and better, even beyond LIVE DRUGS. Fantastico.
incredible the extent to which their live show just gets better and better every tour. Can’t wait to see where they will continue to go from here.
Headed to SoCal for the weekend. Hoping to get A Deeper Understanding of YBB while I’m there.
he said some genuinely goofily funny things. The banter was definitely more than the previous times I've seen em :)
As the live performance gets bigger and better, he seems to loosen up and gain confidence. The show was astounding. Every track from IDLHA was already better live than the studio version, basically. I was wicked happy last night.
Idk when ur a brand new artist and a really young person I imagine is REALLY difficult to articulate what’s happening as it’s happening and you’re receiving even a modicum of indie fame. To be confident enough to step back, analyze what’s happening, and be reflective about it? I applaud it, no matter how long it takes.
am I to think we're getting a whole album in this style? if so, bring it on!
I *really* don't like the "one-off single that almost certainly precedes an album" move. I know it creates more points of engagement or something, but all it does is diminish the impact imo.
and not to hipster out, but a strong handful of the albums I am *most* excited for are not even in that tile image!
