Probably Heaven Can Wait by The Hold Steady. I was so desperate for good new THS that I just kept giving it chances, and it just kept disappointing me.
Ah yes, the rock star gambit. Always plays well.
Not sure if it's canon, but I have never (to my knowledge) heard a Phish song.
Y'all. I'm sitting on my patio in shorts enjoying a nice drink. It's been a weird couple weeks. I like it to the new FIDLAR album. Some awesome highs and some weirdly terrible lows. Overall, more good than bad. I've got a new job with a rather well-known national brand, doing what I love. It involves me wearing a lifevest and/or helmet to work, which is very #onbrand. Love each other. Be well.
Never saw the first movie, but I used to work with kids so I heard "Everything os Awesome" way too many times.
I had a similar experience as a kid at Kennedy Space Center with Blood Sweat and Tears "Spinning Wheels." It was an exhibit about failed rocket launches. What goes up must come down. Hilarious.
The rare band that consistently does both videos and music perfectly.
Christ that's good. So glad to have these guys around.
"undead raccoon hat" is in the running for my favorite lyric of the year.
Looks like it'd be a great little West Coast surfy pop-punk album.
It's a crappy boat. But I like the sentiment.
The verses have a bit of a Craig Finn sing-talk feel to them, and I'm just fine with that.
This hits me so fucking close to home that I'm in tears. PUP is one of my go-to paddling bands.
As a huge PUP fan and a nihilistic depressive I am 300% down for this.
Excited for this. It's been a while since I've been into MMJ, but I like what they're doing here.
Best Lyric: Anything from "CHEER" but probably "Fuck you at $12.50 an hour/ I should've started a chemical fire/I should've burned this fucking place to the ground!"
It's my birthday. Put on that new Drug Church, pour a drink, and send me your favorite music video of the year so I can make my friends watch them.

Needs more bagpipe.
I think we're all gonna have to step down after this.
Very excited for this one. Lead singles were great, here's hoping the rest is as well.
This is such a great song. Definitely on all my 60's playlists.
Y'all know this is one of my favorite bands. Fuck these guys are great. New direction here, I'm digging it.
I quite like this.
God I love this band. Great interview. Really wish they were coming to ATL.
In the weeks after Scott's death I myself was suicidal. It ultimately seemed to be a bad (for me) depression med, but his passing shook me greatly. I listened to his music and made my own plan to kill myself. I'm better now, but I'm not sure that I'll ever be able to listen to Frightened Rabbit again (or should). I'm happy that the band is honoring his memory in this way, but I'm sure it'll be hard for both them and the audience. Take care of yourselves. Don't take this lightly, or anyone's life for granted. Rest gently, Scott.
