Dude's always been a man of the woods using his natural nsytincs
My favourite artist discovery of the year. Thanks, Stereogum!
I'll say it, I fucking miss pretentious/snobby pitchfork. At least they had something to say. They stopped kicking against mainstream thought and just kind of joined it. But perhaps that's because they helped shaped the current state of music. I'm sure it's just a cycle, similar to how Rolling Stone/NME once had an interesting take on music. But it's always sad when your generation follows the same cycle when you thought you would be the fools who kept the party going.
Anyone else worried about dollface signing to Stereogum? I mean, I'm excited to see how the sophomore release will sound, but we've all seen what this label does to people.
Yeah. From what I remember it was always part of the streaming release track list on his site. When I bought a physical copy at his show, it wasn't in the tracklist.
Also, this mash-up somehow works. Their re-working of Jesse Ware's Night Light is also worth a listen.
Whoa. I had not listened to her work yet. Cool stuff.
Listened to 'Two Dancers' again the other day. Such a great album. I still have a feeling they will get back together. Either way, Two Dancers and Smother are top notch. Kind of like their OK Computer and Kid A, with the rest of their discography being as solid as Radiohead's.
Still feels like this album was underrated upon release.
I like 'Part Of Me'. Very good.
'Riot on an Empty Street' by Kings of Convenience is a slightly underrated album.
William is it? Not Captain? Not Sir?
Your service ain't shit until you've had some Danny in it!
Make no mistake about it... the commentariat will seize the beats of production!
By the end of the tour they'll be able to say your name in an empty room
To the person who suggested the John Cale and Brian Eno album last week, you've sent me down a John Cale rabbit hole. Who knew one boy from Wales and his viola could show up in New York and change everything. It's kind of ridiculous how many classic albums he's involved with. But yeah, Paris 1919 has been my jam this week. Really solid album.
Is the kiwi Generation Z's answer to the Millennial's avocado?
I guess The Banzai Predicament was already booked. Have a good one folks!
Even though 'Sun Coming Down' got a lot of press, it still feels underrated. This song is sounding really good on first listen. Really nice surprise.
Lives up to the hype! Of course I'm drawn to the downbeat sad track 'Cordoba'.
I'm hoping These New Puritans release a new album this year. Seems like it might happen.
I haven't listened to Kid606 since back in high school when I thought I was cool for listening to everything on Ipecac records. Perhaps I should check him out again.

I thought 'Woman' was an album that was sort of capitalizing on the trends of the time. However, I kept coming back to it, and now it's one of the staples in my autumn listening. This single has been my favourite so far. Hopefully this album has a similar effect.
One of my favourite albums. And one of the best live shows I've seen as well. I wish her all the best.
This is great. Excited to hear the album.
Congratulations. Hope it goes well.
Liking this on first listen!
I could have sworn he named his album "Solo: A One Direction Story"
Reminds me of The Trip where Rob Brydon is yelling at Steve Coogan, "You got stuck halfway towards your destination. You're stuck in a metaphor!" Implying it's a metaphor for his career.
Pitchfork writing a hit piece? I guess things are about to get condé nasty...
I fit this stereotype, but had no idea people found it appealing. Perhaps I can walk around with a bit more of a spring in my 15 step now.
'Folk Hero' by Loamlands is such a great song. I was wondering just yesterday why more people didn't like it. But that line of thinking is stupid anyways. So I stopped thinking about it.
