ya, keep the stem player, give me an 808 to play over it
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=enbTb8PizTI is this in anybody else's top 100 songs?
ya big what sarah said vibes
switchfoot inclusion gotta be due to ryley walkers incessant drum-beating
do yall listen to kraus? they really hit this vibe for me.
'...the world was ripped apart by 9/11. (Coming up on 20 years!)' uh.. i know its not the intended connotation but seems like not the place for exclamation?
ben gibbard as this dude love it
def have to login everytime i want to comment
woah. expected crosby + fagen to be a hot mess. but crosby's late-era, heavily processed vocals kinda work over the dan thing.
i was also there singing along to much of it (well, mostly wolf) while in college, must past the age and time to know better.
these days that is. i was there, refreshing p4k 20 times a day in the early 10s, when he was getting the marilyn manson, eminem reception (and mostly deservedly).
such a fascinating thing that ppl can take heat for singing along to tyler songs while tyler is becoming more of a mainstream celeb, with what seems to be a pretty high online approval rate.
'Though the streaming industrial complex seems to have settled on the album being called Bon Iver, I’ve always preferred Vernon’s early insistence that it be referred to as Bon Iver, Bon Iver' this was my whole online presence in late 2011
just put on chris on all the god stuff
totes. big difference in catchy and hooks.
typo: why JID *isn't* the biggest rapper in the world
obama rly representing my drink lineup necessary for precarious balance anytime i'm gonna be talking to somebody for more than an hour: upper, downer, flavor, hydration.
alright alright alright
for clarity: i do not wish he would do more stuff like this
i wish kevin drew would do more solo stuff. spirit if is hecka underrated imo
thank you for being the only publication that holds to referring to the 2nd BI album as 'bon iver, bon iver.' so tired of seeing it as S/T, etc. the press materials were very clear. i could go off on the importance in the difference, but i'm already commenting past the point where anyone will see this, anyways.
cant figure out why JID the biggest rapper in the world
not sure im into it; the instrumentation kinda impedes what works about sigur ros (ethereal escapism). was hoping this was gonna take that jonsi solo record vibe to SR's wheelhouse. i was v surprised by that record and couldnt believe how hard p4k shat on it.
no mention of maybe the best song he's made to date, 'my body?' also was missing this vid as a prime example of everything beautiful/troubling about the seemingly uncritical appropriation many of us loved during this era: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yXCFALiw6yU
pretty sure he's said almost exactly that in like 5 dif interviews. some variation of 'music isn't the main things that interests me anymore.'
to be clear, i mean post-hardcore, not post malone approved hardcore
definitely falls firmly in the 'post' vein of hardcore but this is one of the best albums of the year that ABSOLUTELY NOBODY is listening to: https://bagdadskivor.bandcamp.com/album/-
ya, cuco. relient k did it, too, not only with the band name but 'k car.' others examples of first car nostalgia songs?
didn't somebody so the same song about honda cr-v a few years ago?
most recent one and 'mean everything to nothing' are probably most solid representative. both are killer imo. my personal fav is 'like a virgin losing a child' but its some real bright eyes style emo stuff that hasnt really been their thing since then.
really aped tierra whack song for a sec there
i wish i knew how to gif..
'sometimes i need to feel twenty in the worst way' (WORST WAAAAY) https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&url=http%3A%2F%2Frebloggy.com%2Fpost%2Fmine-tbs-taking-back-sunday-make-damn-sure-adam-lazzara-taking-back-sunday-gif%2F26652223007&psig=AOvVaw1FZWXw7ttX45yN7AC_EToa&ust=1590870752138000&source=images&cd=vfe&ved=0CAIQjRxqFwoTCJj0k8P12ekCFQAAAAAdAAAAABAD
just about a perfect piece. thanks.
