Really loved these first two songs so far, I definitely didn't expect Liars to be one of my most anticipated of this year.
Their whole brand seems sooo anti-capitalism but I agree with this statement.
So much same, Afternoon Love In found its way on a bunch of my CD-R playlists
Dont forget smoking weed in the video, Fox News for sure wont.
I like this! I really hope this signals trap can move past the hazy haunted house beats that have been on repeat for like 7 years.
my mistake *the other sites festival
I really think they fill these out with Spotify numbers these days, i dont know what else would explain it.
I have disposable income to spare on one of these and I keep reading these and just trying to will myself into excitement for any of these lineups. I guess pitchfork is the winner so far.
Welcome to our baby shower, and now, for the main attraction.....BLACK MIDIIIIIII
I'm honestly curious as to how someone would find Prince overrated?
Ah yes the infamous pre-produced beats from *checks up the page* Billie Eilish, Leon Bridges, Portugal the Man, Future Islands, Phoebe Bridgers, King Princess and Big Thief This lineup lacks for sure but a shit load of poeple are dying to be in a community and rappers and DJs can be just as fun for completely different reasons.
I don't know why but i find it interesting seeing A$AP popping up as a headliner is he still that big?
Oh man, i remember listening to this on the school bus to a field trip in my Discman. I was still very much under the spell that the characters all had real-life counterparts. This sent me down a Blur rabbit hole when i actually figured out what was going on and am so grateful for that. They've had much better records than this since, but the low stakes approach is so charming i love this record.
Yeah the whole "I apologize, but...." rings super hallow these days. Minneapolis gummer here in the thick of this and i dont believe a word the dude says.
haha the song is great and im sure lap dancing the devil will go over well with the fox news crowd.
We will always have like 4 - 6 solid classics from him.
Thanks to Tom for the recommendation on twitter, great song!!
I got Bowie right away but you are absolutely right the delivery and the almost tipping into goofy lyrics have Midnite Vultures written all over them. (i LOVE Midnite Vultures)
oh man thank you for this recommendation, this is a direct shot at my tastes.
Seems like a good place to mention all DP fans should also check out Justice's own stab at an alive type record Woman Worldwide. IT RIPS.
Are we really still holding some 1970s white dude standard of what making music is?
Lol at "button pressing music" #OKBoomer
I definitely had that feeling initially when it was released, i was almost horrified by songs like Touch, but boy has RAM grown on me.
Maybe the return of Stardust??
The arc really did some complete with RAM, but I was still holding out hope for one more pure dance record. *sad robot tears*
1. Anima (large gap) 2. The Eraser 3. Amok 4. Tomorrow's Modern Boxes
Wont ever miss an excuse to see where my rankings are: 1. Kid A 2. In Rainbows 3. OK Computer 4. Amnesiac 5. A Moon Shaped Pool 6. HTTT 7. The Bends 8. TKOL 9. Pablo Honey OKC has aged a bit over the years where IR and Kid A have absolutely not aged at all.
Bloom though.
The songs are still underbaked, but i do agree a little more studio love and a few more songs and its a classic. The songs are there just not the best presentation.
From the Basement and seeing them on this tour makes the existence of this album totally worthwhile.
The verses sound like they were written for that parody obviously but i think the chorus and builds dovetails away from anything Phoebe would do.
Brief Inquiry still rules though.
I remember when my friend showed me KOL's first couple of albums and was floored that they used to be an awesome blues bar rock band and then they turned into this.
Solid way to torpedo your careers i guess.
I love our community and am happy we were able to keep it going!! I rock my t-shirt to no one as i work from home!
