Honestly surprised this didn’t happen sooner. Seems like the writing’s been on the wall since they had to fire Ameer Vann. Dude was a pos to his partners but he was also the best rapper in BH. Like, how do you come back from putting him on the cover of your three most popular records? This group deserved a slightly happier ending
Thank you, bigzman342. I’ve half-remembered the reality shoe that documented the making of “The Scorned.” That scene where they throw Johnny FairPlay down the stairs… iconic
I challenge anyone to gather up 10 talented ppl and try to write a song as good as Peaches. A good song's a good song, doesn't matter how many wrote it.
Reading his statement gives me flashbacks to rage quitting Neil Young’s Waging Heavy Peace memoir. Love his lyrics but the impressionistic prose is infuriating!
Doja Cat signed with Dr. Luke’s Kemosabe Records in 2014, shortly before Kesha accused him of rape and abuse. Sounds like she was contractually obligated to work with Dr. Luke until she fulfilled the contract. Idk why people are mad at her for that… it’s the fucking industry, man
Kinda funny that two different Aretha biopics got noms in the same year. I don’t understand why this didn’t happen with Walk the Line/Walk Hard, but oh well
I’m still struggling to process this whole nightmare. Saw Travis in 2018, it was honestly one of the greatest live shows I’ve ever seen. I’ve invested a lot of my fandom in this guy, and I really can’t tell if it’ll ever feel ok to listen to his music again. I guess this is the first time an artist I’ve truly loved with all my heart has been cancelled (for lack of a better term). Shit sucks. And obviously, my heart goes out to all the Astroworld victims and their families. I realize this isn’t *about* me
