Timing the filing just before his highest profile performance ever for maximum visibility hurts the case and makes it look like a settlement payout is the goal
You can chip away at the Big Thief a few random tracks at a time while you play the Spoon all the way through. It's not really a cohesive album. (It's 80 minutes long while the Spoon isn't even 40 minutes)
$5 million ad buy to confuse millions of viewers that this isn't a commercial for a seashell company but is actually for a web design platform. Good job everyone.
It disingenuous to pretend to not know what Albarn meant. You don't bring in a Max Martin or hire an indie team to go indie if you want to be known as an individual songwriter. Anyhow, he's said the writer took him out of context. We don't know how that quote was edited, whether it referred to her entire career or every song, and didn't say she was not a songwriter.
In this case, is it really his place to criticize the quality of the apology? It's not a situation that involved him personally or an issue that he really needs to weigh in on as a white guy.
F this guy. If anything here is "Trumpian" it's his gaslighting. She has credited co-writers on many songs, including him. That is what Albarn was referring to, it's hardly "making things up". Did this genius podcaster not know they co-wrote and think to ask what their collaboration entailed?
Albini should just write out and fax Joe exactly what he needs him to say to personally satisfy him since apparently his multiple comments didn't work for him
Not sure it's only age; bands just eventually run out of ideas. If this is true, they would probably be the first band that after a 30+ year career are producing their best stuff.
Like these guys and will no doubt like this record but still lament that they seem to actively resist writing more perfect catchy pop tunes like "Masterpiece" or "Shark Smile"
It's the Beatles blowhards who shudder to even think that there were other 60's bands that came close to them. When in fact many did as great or and often better things - Kinks, Left Banke, Zombies, Love, Beach Boys and yes, the Who.
Relative to their amount of commercial success and career longevity, the case could definitely be made that he's the worst.
Which raises the question of who's the best active frontman. As in mostly only sings on stage. Brandon Flowers (plays some keyboard), J Casablancas, Liam Gallagher, etc.
This guy missed the mark and was thinking they might go back to some older vibes. It seems they deliberately avoid that funkier jam riff sound these days.

Yeah, Rogan is stupid, Stewart is stupid, but you have it all figured out. You don't seem to understand there have been a wide range of public health responses and medical treatment approaches to this worldwide, and continue to evolve. There is no one single formula, just theories and best approaches at local, state, and national levels. We can always learn and improve--which is done by--wait for it--asking questions. P.S., if you think millions are continuing to be killed today, you might update your news feeds.
