For what it’s worth, he’s a comedian, and she sings funeral and depression songs, so the context is quite different. I like the song in the special but I’m getting turned off it pretty quick.
Is that a new frontman/character on the cover or have I just not been paying much attention to Ghost?
Bowie was in Fire Walk With Me, and would have probably showed up in the Return too if he hadn’t died before filming!
Anyone else pumped for audiobooks? "The Doll" has been one of my frequent repeats for the last few months.
I usually stay far away from Stan stuff, but I clicked on that video and found it hilarious they were offended by Corden saying BTS at a UN event was “unusual.” Is there a sensitivity requirement to being a Stan army member?
Seriously sounds like a 30 Rock joke about country music.
Whoops, wrong comment to respond to….
Grizzly Bear’s Yellow House and The Radio Dept’s Clinging To a Scheme are my ultimate autumn go-to’s.
Yeah man that Slothrust album kicks. “Waiting” in particular has just about everything I desire from a pop-rock tune.
Is it weird that this is scratching me Brand New itch? It’s a little harder to listen to that band these days so this One Step Closer business is coming in hot and satisfying.
I agree - for me The Neon Skyline is a modern classic. It's so nice to have new material so soon though!
Truth. I always try and point people to the Hammersmith Odeon 1975 album, it’s my favorite Springsteen release.
Accidental downvote, I’m sorry. That song is fucking great. The whole album is.
Yeah, seriously. The Can and This Heat comparisons are noticeable. Maybe people are let down that it's not as funky as Wide Awake!? I always liked their krautrock-punk combos better anyway.
This was the biggest leap in ambition and execution yet!
I love to describe “I Am Trying to Break Your Heart” as a song that showed up late and drunk to its own recording.
A Kendrick Freddie rivalry/beef would be an absolute dream. Please respond Oklama
Whoa whoa whoa how is nobody talking about God Is Partying yet? I’ve been waiting for the discussion thread all day. This album makes me want to live my ass off. God bless Andrew W.K.
Switchfoot is good. I second his “Oh! Gravity” assertion, it’s my favorite of theirs. And their new album is one of their best in a while, too!
She thinks the only thing god cares about is how she moves through the world lol
Same here, my dad raised me on Pat Metheny Group. Truly great interview here.
"California" is friggin' incredible.
This is the first time I’m just choosing not to listen to a new Kanye or a new Drake album at all and I just…I feel so free.
I just listened to “Off the Grid” for the first time, which is supposedly the best track on Donda. And it was exceedingly mediocre. Now I know for sure I can just continue to ignore the thing. Hey Stans - what is wrong with your ears?
Psychedelics and Ram Dass make you think corporate? That’s depressing.
I was sorry to experience it! I actually blame myself being unprepared rather than the music. I wasn’t ready to be shown what the inside of my brain looks like - that album is ridiculous the way its sounds prompt mind-expansion.
Oh shit time to stock up on supplies and get my therapy on. I wonder if this will make up for the bad trip his Singularity album thrust me into a few years ago.
They’re coming to my hometown in October and I’m so excited. It’s my second time seeing them. First time was with my dad and brothers.
Upvote for Wolf Parade who in fact continue to rule as hard as ever.
Okay I'm really excited for Turnstile but nobody told me MEN I TRUST was releasing an album?!?! I've been obsessed with them this year ever since I saw their Tiny Desk Concert. This deserves more hype for real.
I’m so glad that ass is off the front page of this site. I’m sorry, I love pictures of asses, but I just really really hate that album cover.
Low is SO GOOD. Every record is great.
I have felt this way since 2017.
I don’t collect vinyl, but this band wants me to start with their whole collection. I could hang them on my wall!
I was into this band for a hot second near the end of my Warped Tour days. Haven’t listened to them since 2008, but hey this fuckin rips.
I was twelve. My sister bought this, followed the next year by Avril and Vanessa Carlton. I stole it a bunch and played it in my room while I thought of my middle school crushes.
“Chaise Longue” on here makes me ridiculously happy!
