Is anyone really nostalgic for Dashboard Confessional? Yeah I liked them when I was an idiot child but I’ve never gotten a hankering to hear those stupid songs again.
Lysol-Soup for my Family
Bootlicker- Bootlicker
Slant
Headcheese-Headcheese
Chubby and the Gang-The Mutts Nuts
Nopes- Djork
Some of my favorites of the year
Eh, it's a job and this performance looks and sounds pretty pathetic, gotta pay for Win's expensive hats and stuff. I don't think we have to take it as Arcade Fire endorsing the libertarian dystopian future that crypto nuts want.
I don't know if I can trust steaming numbers at all, I see a lot of artists with inflated plays because of their inclusion on playlists. And I know nobody anywhere near adulthood has ever listened to BTS.
Is Kendall Roy supposed to be the only remotely sympathetic character on succession? I just started the second season. Kind of overrated, it’s good but not in the upper echelon of HBO and prestige television and makes me feel nauseous.
If you wanna see some REAL acting check out Lin Manuel
Miranda’s work as the bellhop in season 5, although the little rap he does feels a little shoehorned in
What a fucking baller Sondheim was. I loved musical theatre before I really knew who he was, but he’s basically why I still loved the medium as an adult. I’m not old, but the Company soundtrack started to make it into the “oh shit I’m getting old” rotation this year.
I mean I liked it less than her last two, but I still thought it was better than every single album nominated for Album of the Year here. I guess I assumed she was big enough to be insulated from a bit of a weaker record.
I haven’t been able to connect hard with anything Aesop Rock has done since None Shall Pass and at the time I kinda thought that was his “sellout album.” Even with the return of blockhead here it’s not doing much for me. Is this anyone else’s experience or is this only a delineation for me? Anyone think he’s gotten better?
The lessons that should be learned from Astroworld are logistical, nobody is asking for performances to be toned down. And a performer going into the crow to fight a fan is very rock and roll and usually funny.
I don't know anything about this band but protecting abusers in a music scene is fucked and completely deserving of being ostracized. Its always a struggle to keep punk scenes safe and free of dangerous people, doing the opposite means there is no place for you either. So fuck him for trying to get out in front of that and not even mentioning in his statement.
When I hear bedroom pop I think of some weird nerd with a synth playing all the instruments into a tascam. Can we refer to this stuff as guest home pop? Entire second floor of mansion pop?
