No, I added it after you mentioned in the comments! Thanks for the heads up.

I guffaw at the thought of a consensus 10 best Spoon songs... would be a fun exercise though, may have to take a crack at it someday. In the meantime here are outdated album rankings from the same ex-contributor who left "Smells Like Teen Spirit" off his Nirvana top 10 smh: https://www.stereogum.com/1298482/spoon-albums-from-worst-to-best/franchises/counting-down/

There's a deep connection between TNV's shitgaze scene and guys like Kurt Vile and Ryley Walker. So maybe if one of those guys curates an ATP-type fest someday they'll get TNV to reunite for that.

They are! But all evidence suggests they ain't coming back (other than the occasional local fest reunion gig every legendary Columbus indie band seems to wind up playing).

July 1, 2019 on Sky Ferreira Comments On Music Industry Exploitation In Light Of Taylor Swift/Scooter Braun Feud
Not sure if this question is being posed genuinely or if it's just snark, but: We can and do update posts, but you can only update so many times before the post becomes unwieldy and user-unfriendly.

That was a little phrase I edited in... I don't know exactly where you'd draw the line but I think it gets the point across in terms of their shift from bookish indie pop to, like, the showtune equivalent of bookish indie pop. (That is not meant to be dismissive, Dear Catastrophe Waitress is my second favorite B&S after Sinister.)

It does have symphonic elements, but it’s not like “Suspirium” with A Moon Shaped Pool strings or something

I like him experimenting! What I don't appreciate is when he abandons melody and dynamics in favor of bleak ~textures~.

Don't sleep on Mother Evergreen's "Radio Cure" cover when this drops — never heard of that band before and it blew my mind.

Oh definitely not. But "revisiting the final Sonic Youth album 10 years later" was a pretty big gimme.

I am gonna choose to engage with this complaint in good faith and say: We try to do fewer "Turns 10" than "Turns 20," and more importantly a lot of those albums you mentioned haven't even hit their anniversary yet! You have a point about The Eternal though.

I feel the same way. I don't usually list them among my favorites, but they were easily the best thing I saw at Primavera 2016. Just astonishing.

I completely understand why someone would object to downloading this music, but it's not the same as Jai Paul. Jai was just starting out, and the infamous 2013 leak was a bunch of songs he was still working on + planning to release someday. This is 20+ years later and almost entirely material that has already seen release in its finished form.

I think when all is said and done 22, A Million will be Justin's peak. And he's scaled some serious heights elsewhere. I just love 22, A Million so much and I think it remains underrated.
