I think that's pretty fair to be honest. There's maybe, what, two songs on the album that could register as country? The last song has a (fucking awesome) flute solo that sounds like it came straight from Ron Burgundy, that's not exactly country
I really like Band of Horses and I'm really glad this song is as good as it is.
holy shit are you a Tyga fan? how does it feel to be part of such a tiny group of people?
So it was Meghan Trainor and her husband who pooped at the Turnstile show?
I think if you're looking at albums, you'll want to start with Moving Pictures. That has some of their bigger hits but it is the album that is considered their best for a reason, it is probably their best in terms of merging the prog of their 70s output with the poppier stuff from the later part of the 80s. But Rush is a band with a lot of sounds, so I think you'd want to move to A Farewell to Kings for the prog stuff. 2112 is going to be a popular suggestion, and I would certainly suggest you give the full title track a listen, but I think A Farewell to Kings is a better album and still has them in full prog mode, while also featuring some of the additional instrumental ornamentation and more use of synthesizers that would become commonplace in their later work. For the 80s stuff where they got really heavy into synths, I'd suggest Signals or Grace Under Pressure, both fantastic albums with some great hooks but also still a sense of their prog side that they moved away from quite a bit from Power Windows forward. And if you're at all interested in their more recent output, you'll probably find few bands with a 19th studio album as good as Clockwork Angels. I'd also be remiss to not mention their live material. You really can't go wrong with any of their live albums but Exit Stage Left is my personal favorite.
I wonder how the non-Chris Martin members of Coldplay feel about this shit
Yeah, as annoying as the song is, I find the stupid dance just as bad, if not worse.
I wonder how Kanye's early collaborators like Mos Def feel about him nowadays.
lol Eddie's Caleb Followill circa 2004 impression is pretty good
I really enjoy how much of a massive dork Post Malone actually is
lmao Corey really busted out the receipts. Embarrassing stuff for the 31 year old "youth"
Not really much of a Slipknot fan but I'll take their side any day over MGK and his imitation blink 182 shit.
Dude, I don't give a damn whether you like the show or not. But calling something "gentrified Full House", 1) does not make any sense whatsoever and 2) doesn't remotely apply to Ted Lasso.
What the fuck does "gentrified Full House" even mean? Ted Lasso is nothing like that? What are you talking about?
Higgins always kills me.
Well that was great and I'm excited for this album
Metallica has also been releasing outtakes or live versions of the songs along with the cover roll out and the one they released for this song is pretty cool. It is Jason Newsted's original tape of the track: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A5Z2N_hskVk
I'm not sure if "on her own" is the way to describe how Kim, or any of the Kardashians, amassed their wealth.
I can't imagine actually not liking Dave Grohl. Like, yeah, does it get a little old with him sometimes? Sure. But the guy is a pretty relentless source of positivity and I can't understand hating on that. Also, Foo Fighters are fucking great.
Yeah, I can second this. I was in high school from 06 to 2010, so Slipknot's peak in popularity missed me a bit, but they were definitely still quite popular, especially in comparison to how heavy and fucking weird they were.
The first track had me intrigued and now I am excited. This is really good.
Yup that's an IDLES song alright
I'm so so excited for this
Lil Nas X needs to get in touch with the Paramount+ people
Well this is going to be really interesting if nothing else. I like the song though it would be one of the weaker songs if it was on Golden Hour IMO
The Quake soundtrack is pretty rad. This is the only real "song" on the whole thing. The rest of the tracks are really weird and creepy dark ambient music.
"I'm not my bf's spokesperson" Proceeds to defend bf from all criticism
The album lived up to the hype, thanks Michael!
Mombasa and Villain of the non-singles. I really enjoy In Blur from that first batch of songs, but the whole album is really good.
But Jack Antonoff has nothing to do with the sound of these records and it is sexist and insulting to say otherwise. Or at least that's what we were told in that article last week or whatever.
Yeah, nothing about the initial rollout of Solar Power seemed satirical. It almost feels like the lukewarm reception to the single and the album announcement led to the satire angle. It isn't bad, you just don't get the satire!

This comment reminds me of when Rush went on The Colbert Report and Colbert asked them "Have you ever written a song so long that by the end of the song you were taking influence from yourselves earlier in the song?"
The song is pretty meh but people are fucking dipshits, Lizzo doesn't deserve any of this garbage being thrown at her.
That's fair, but I'd expect those lines to connect with other satire in the song and there just...doesn't seem like there's much there?
