How many viewers, of any sort of internet content these days, make the distinction between “journalist to be taken seriously” and “Internet personality whose opinions I ought not to absorb?” You think most people do this?
Sorry dude but you keep saying this, and it’s something that’s really not obvious to a lot of people. I’ve known lots of relatively smart people who hang on his every word.
Really weird take. It’s really *really* easy to think of pop artists who don’t really write their material. Swift is pretty famous for it on the other hand.
Wow, tons of exciting stuff this month! Of course I’m ridiculously excited for new Immanuel Wilkins. Dude is a preacher with his instrument, so this album’s direction is perfect. The Chicago Experiment also has me pretty breathless.
After seeing and loving The Eyes of Tammy Faye, I’m convinced all biopics need to have some sort of wacky style or lightly satirical angle. Shakes up the genre. This is truly excellent news and i am excite
With Encanto on the rise, I'm hoping it goes to "Dos Oruguitas." That tune makes me cry, especially as it soundtracks its particular scene in the movie.
Agreed on the Zimmer score, it's not very fresh. However, having just read Dune for the first time this year, I don't know what you're on about regarding how the "Dune aesthetic" is "supposed to be." Maybe you just prefer the weird, trippy, flamboyance of the Lynch version? Because while Dune is aesthetically distinct, I found nothing in the book that suggested it should be any more wacky than what Villeneuve gave us.
The film list makes me think this for sure. Some of those movies have only been shown at film festivals as far as I know. You'd have to be pretty dialed in to the film world to have seen all of those.
This is the answer I was looking for. I love "Bunny Is a Rider" as P4K's pick because of the moment on my like seventh listen where I realized all of a sudden "wait I love this song???" after thinking it was just okay the previous six.
I'm so excited for this movie. Sean Baker has this remarkable ability to humanize the poor and scummy of the world, and this movie looks no different. That it's Simon Rex is hilarious and makes me even more curious/excited.
