More corporate virtue signaling that doesn't affect the bottom line one way or another
Mitski really leaning into the whole Mitski persona
Another one of those fun 9/11 predictive synchronicities in pop culture. The Century City towers are half size replications of the WTC by the same architect. Strange choice by a London band to have this their as a cover in 1977.
Foster the People are one of the biggest examples of this syndrome where no one listens to them, yet they keep popping up on festival posters, often at surprisingly high billing spots.
She's moving, driving her own trailer, packed with all her stuff. So relatable. She's just like us!
If changed, does it not concede to the kid's complaint and suggest some wrong doing? But a new cover also creates an opportunity to press yet another new physical edition to sell and make more money.
Well this just screams confidence in one's song to stand on its own P.S. "Gump" is some condescending, Right-leaning, insidious garbage.
This was overruled by the executive board of directors of the multinational Adele corporation
What's the sentence length for a single N-word thrown at another white guy as an all purpose pejorative? Thanks to CMA we'll know exactly once they welcome him back.
Even harder to believe he's dating her
Any concerns of corporate integrity went out the window a longtime ago with this band. There's also surely zero compunction working for AEG on these shows.
They'll all quickly sell out and tickets will popup on the secondary market at significant markup. All part of the plan. They pulled if off with the MSG run, so no doubt they can do it at a much smaller venue just as well.
This version is a bit... whatever but cool that Juanes broke out his Jazzmaster to match the o.g. Elvis has long been a late night talk show host favorite (but not their sidekicks) https://youtu.be/YoW2mQff2wE

Nice photo of the new Elton wax statue at Madame Tussauds.
Who could have foreseen that getting involved with one of the world's most prominent richest men would have led to receiving unwanted attention
Our national nightmare is finally over
Thanks for this. I am dubious but glad to be corrected. I still have uni access and took a look at the full paper. It is interesting. The baseline levels of MDMA in the water have a very wide range from 1-60 mg/h (which alone is curious). 115 mg/h was detected after the festival, yet it is spotlighted flatly by the authors as 100x of baseline (using the lowest baseline end), which looks far more impressive than if they used the high end and said it was 2x. That decision alone calls the authors' politics into question, but I get why these things are done.
Another great little tune. The new record is shaping up nicely. Hopefully there are at least a couple new ones where she really cuts loose on the guitar and shows off her lead chops (as she did when playing live with Jen Cloher).
Somewhere Robin Pecknold is reading this and saying "this is a guy I can't wait to collaborate with!"
This story has got to be some anti-drug bullshit. Unnamed "scientists" and "researchers" and no available report. Just think about the mechanics it would require for this to actually happen in any quantifiable measure.
Right, Rivers has been upfront about this, but Dave does not seem to know that as he describes this as a private conversation. Dave is clearly suggesting that Rivers' approach is somehow bad or wrong, and contrasting it with his own craft to make it seem more pure.
Doubt this conversation actually happened in these exact words. But nice of Dave to throw Rivers under the bus as a hit chaser while he paints himself as some kind of thoughtful composer. However they got made, Weezer has far bigger bag of perfect pop songs than Foos. And both bands have a ton of generic filler.
Sing the "hell out of it" is kinda accurate. That alone doesn't mean it's any good. See also most national anthem renditions.
Yes, your life is over.
...and trust him implicitly. But getting a lot of cliche coming of age tale beats in the kids part of this trailer. Freaks and Geeks et al. B. Coop here feels like he is in a different, possibly better movie.
Dylan tickets should come with a disclaimer: Mr. Dylan will not be addressing the crowd, he will remain behind a piano most of the show, there will will be no video projection, and he may play just 1 or 2 classics but not in any arrangement that you will recognize.
Robin has come across as a thoughtful good guy with integrity. Used to, that is.
This lawyer gets way too much credit for the really talented musical artists he happened to sign. After this, maybe they can adapt this legendary article into a leading role for Tucci - https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/clive-davis-ousted-payola-coverup-charged-37191/
