Discovered them through Deerhunter, Bradford Cox was fond to taut their names for a good amount of interviews. I love anything kitsch, Lynchian, and the like but The Everly Brothers go beyond all that. In my head and heart it’s fairly often Everly Time and I’m making dates with the Everly Brothers, because they rule.

Depeche Mode definitely need to go out with an album on par with at least the Delta Machine or Playing the Angel. Spirit is a really over hated album but it's also an indication that I really, really don't want more overly political Depeche Mode.
Go listen to 2020's Jacqueline under her Jackie Lynn persona. She really is one of the art pop extraordinaries of our time and I'm really happy she's become so prolific.

Honestly, none of these Antonoff albums work for me except for Norman Fucking Rockwell because LDR is such a big well-define personality. You would think St. Vincent would apply but she's too much of a chameleon.
Breaking into some White Bread Black Beer and this is some sinisterly good sophisti-pop. If this new album is better than that then we're talking about a pretty flawless discography. Hope we also get one more prefab sprout album...
Love this band...other than Friendly Fires they are one of the only bands that scratch this ridiculous fun itch. Thankfully this sounds a lot more promising than Paper Gods and closer to their much better late career album All You Need Is Now.
He did it. He made an album that's better than the worst album fo his career and managed to bring back a dose of weird, maximalist outsider artist that helps. The JAY-Z verse is so terrible and will probably be the main reason this album is being delayed from streaming sites.

The song is pretty pretty good. Look, all I want from CHVRCHES is good time. The staccato guitar production towards the end of the song sound like the band pushing themselves a bit…idk I’m less cynical and more generous towards synth pop.
Saw them as an opener for the last R.E.M. show with The National and they were so completely checked out. Johnny Marr even got up on stage with them and he was way livelier than the entirety of the Mouse. This new era looks great and I hope this long upcoming tour reminds Brock and company of the good Music can do.

You can’t spell SPELLLING without casting a spell. Mazy Fly is one of the best albums to ever be put out on Sacred Bones records and this follow up is going to be a stunner.
Very much endorse this! Jenny Hval and Holly Herdnon have made ASMR tracks that sound like skillful homages and satire of ASMR.

Album releases by women are always just so rife with unnecessary controversy in the journalism and it makes people resent the artist for the album roll-out. That's why Beyonce's self-titled drop is so powerful because it cuts through all of this noise and maybe could have made this time leading up to the album less insufferable. Media outlets and comment sections always get particularly heated every time a notable release from a woman comes out. On Rateyourmusic.com these albums end up with locked comment sections because people can't behave most recent example of that was LDR's NFR.
